SCC is excited to partner with Columbus County Schools and Whiteville City Schools to bring you an unforgettable lineup of Summer Camps. These camps are an opportunity you won't want to miss! Earn high school AND college credit for FREE!

These camps are for students in the class of 2024, 2025, 2026, or 2027. The best part is, they're completely FREE! You'll also get free transportation and meals. Additional requirements may be needed for the classes of 2026 and 2027. Please speak with your high school counselor or CCP Advisor to learn more.

2024 Summer Camp Options

This year, we've got seven awesome camps for you to choose from!
With such a wide range of options, there's a camp that's perfect for you. Check out each one below and find the camp you're most excited about!

Agriculture

Discover the Wonders of Agriculture!

This camp is great for students interested in nature, animals, and sustainable practices. You'll learn through doing, with lots of hands-on experiences in farming, animals, and taking care of the environment. It's perfect if you're considering a career in agriculture, veterinary science, or environmental studies.

Qualifications: Students must be in the class of 2024, 2025, 2026, or 2027. Additional requirements may be needed for the classes of 2026 and 2027. Please speak with your high school counselor or CCP Advisor to learn more.

Automotive

Put your Summer in High Gear!

This camp is perfect for students who love cars and want to learn about how they work. You'll explore the basics of taking care of cars and fixing them, so you can keep vehicles running smoothly. It's a great opportunity for students who are interested in becoming car technicians or engineers.

Construction

Build Your Summer!

This camp is all about hands-on learning for students who love to build and create. You will learn important skills for construction and facility maintenance, like carpentry and electrical work. It's a great opportunity for students who want to become carpenters, electricians, or construction managers.

Emergency Medical Responder

Make a Difference this Summer!

Experience the thrill of helping others and saving lives in emergency situations. Participants will learn essential first aid techniques, CPR, and emergency response protocols, gaining valuable skills for careers in EMS or Fire Fighting.

Qualifications: Students must be in the class of 2024, 2025, or 2026 AND be 17 years of age before July 27, 2024. Additional requirements may be needed for the classes of 2026. Please speak with your high school counselor or CCP Advisor to learn more.

Engineering

Explore Engineering!

Unlock the world of innovation and problem-solving through hands-on engineering challenges. Participants will delve into topics like operation and design of a fluid power system, electrical wiring techniques and tools, and troubleshooting. Ideal for students aspiring to become technical service providers, engineering technicians, or industrial managers.

Healthcare Exploration

Unlock the World of Healthcare!

Step into the fascinating realm of healthcare with our Healthcare Exploration Summer Camp! Embark on exciting field trips and engaging hands-on activities as you explore various healthcare fields. From medical laboratory technology to phlebotomy and nursing, this camp offers a firsthand look at diverse career paths in healthcare. Welding

Make a Spark this Summer!

Discover the art and science of welding through practical, hands-on instruction. Participants will learn welding techniques, safety procedures, and fabrication skills, preparing them for careers in manufacturing, construction, or metalworking.
